Johnson Says He Thought Party Was Work Because He Doesn’t Know What Work Looks Like
Boris ‘Crikey’ Johnson today told the House of Commons that ‘in hindsight’ he’s sorry now he never had a real job before he got into politics.
“Crikey,” he explained, “how was I to know what a work event looks like, I’m a public school boy, for heaven’s sake. Like David Cameron, I went straight into politics from Oxford. Isn’t that what you do?”
Johnson added that he never knows what to say at a ‘leaving do’ because “I’ve never had a real job to leave”.
